What is the Subaru Love Promise?

Subaru and our retailers believe in making the world a better place and the Subaru Love Promise is our vision of respecting all people. This is our commitment to show love and respect to our customers and to work to make a positive impact in the world.

The Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment

We believe in being a positive force in something bigger. And it all starts right here in our community. Not just by our donations, but by our actions.

That's why we stay true to our Love Promise Community Commitment by partnering with a wide variety of community nonprofits and charities.

Every year, we join hands with our owners in the "Share the Love" event, giving back to our community-a community that's given so much to us.

So, every day, we strive to ensure our love is felt not just by our customers, but by all in our community. We do this because we feel it is the right thing to do.

We are proud to participate in the Love Promise Community Commitment. We're grateful, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve and support the causes and passions that are closest to our hearts, right here in our neighborhood.

All of the organizations we support have one thing in common: the unwavering dedication to improve the world and the lives of its people.

Love Promise Stories from Day West Liberty Subaru

Day Delivers Warmth to West Penn Patients  –  Breanna S

Day Delivers Warmth to West Penn Patients

For their “Loves to Care” program, Day West Liberty Subaru teamed up with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Western PA & WV (LLS) to visit patients receiving cancer treatment at West Penn Hospital on July 11. Patients often feel cold during chemotherapy, so Day Subaru donated 80 brand-new blankets to the hospital. Day Subaru General Manager James Lokar joined Angela Austin from LLS and West Penn staff members to give the blankets to those who could most use a smile and a little warmth. James took the time to speak with each individual he met, including John Minich, who drives 75 miles to be treated at West Penn. He and his wife have four children, ages 6 to 19. Whenever John has treatment, their whole community comes together to support the family, babysitting the younger kids and caring for the Miniches’ dog and cat. John thanked James and Day Subaru for the blanket, explaining that he often has night sweats and is always cold during treatment. When John mentioned that his younger kids sometimes come with him to treatment, James pulled out three of the Crayola arts and crafts kits Day Subaru was also donating to West Penn for children to play with while their family members are in treatment. All of the patients at West Penn were very appreciative and loved their new blankets, while the LLS and Day Subaru staff members were excited to provide this gesture of hope and comfort to those who deserve a little extra care and love.

Day Subaru Shares The Love with Animal Friends  –  Jeff S

Day Subaru Shares The Love with Animal Friends

During the holiday season in 2014 Animal Friends joined West Liberty Subaru for their Share the Love promotion. From Nov. 20, 2014 to Jan. 2, 2015, Subaru donated $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased to the customer's choice of five national charities or one Pittsburgh hometown charity: Animal Friends! On December 6th, Animal Friends and Subaru celebrated this partnership with a Subaru Share the Love Event. Animal Friends staff and volunteers traveled to West Liberty Subaru with their Mobile Resource Center, adoptable dogs, and adoptable kittens. Event attendees could visit with Animal Friends animals and bring their own pet to get their picture taken with Santa Claus in front of the Christmas tree. At both Subaru locations and at Animal Friends' Caryl Gates Gluck Resource Center, donors were encouraged to "Stuff a Subaru" with in-kind donations to shelter animals including food, treats, toys, and other supplies. The events were great successes and brought together the community with a great hometown charity: Animal Friends.
